Virtual Soup - POTATO CORN CHOWDER SOUP        Submitted by Bernadette Gutowski

    

 

POTATO CORN CHOWDER SOUP                    (serves 6-8)

 INGREDIENTS

CREAM SAUCE BASE:   

     

8 Tablespoons Flour

8 Tablespoons Butter

4 Cups Milk

2 Teaspoons salt

1 Teaspoons pepper

  1. Melt Butter `
  2. Add flour, salt and pepper and stir until smooth
  3. Gradually stir in milk stirring until thick

SOUP:                                                                                                                                                          

6-8 potatoes peeled and cubed

12 ounce frozen corn (more or less to personal taste0

Salt   Pepper   Basil   Dill              (TO TASTE)

  1. Add potatoes to creamed mixture and simmer until tender
  2. Add corn and seasoning to taste
  3. Simmer together until corn is tender

TOPPING (OPTIONAL):

 Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
