Lent – Wednesday Evening Mass 7pm
Each Wednesday evening before the Mass, there will be a brief explanation of the work of the charity that we will be supporting that week. The information will also be on our website.
March 4 to March 10 We will accept donations for St. Raymond-Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. St. Raymond Parish was merged with Our Lady of Good Counsel in Detroit in December of 2025. Their Christian Service Committee works to help struggling families in the parish by providing home essentials, food, clothing, and toys.
March 11 to March 17 We will accept donations for the Franciscan Outreach Program at Transfiguration Parish. The Franciscan Outreach Program began over sixty-five years ago at Duns Scotus Seminary in Southfield, where it distributed food, and clothing, and provided occasional help with rent and utility payments. It served, as it continues to do, Southeast Michigan, not just Southfield. The program is funded by donations, including significant donations by the Franciscan Order, and by parishioners of parishes in the Archdiocese.
March 18 to March 24 We will accept donations for the St. Vincent Ferrer Benevolent Fund. The St. Vincent Ferrer Benevolent Fund is used for needs brought to the parish which are not met by other sources. It provides donations for a number of charitable outreach efforts as well as supplementing payments for those in need, such as medicine, transportation, and other unexpected expenses that cannot be covered by St. Vincent DePaul, but can be given in conjunction with their support.
